Gizmodo Animated Editorial Illustration
This motion graphic was created for an article on Gizmodo.com. The subject of the article was artificial intelligence. More specifically, how the scientific community can avoid the possibility of a robotic uprising should artificial intelligence ever be achieved. I felt this subject was a wonderful opportunity to throw in a little camp, so I created this animation to offset the serious nature of the article. The animation is heavily based on the poster for the 1956 movie "Forbidden Planet" and captures the over-the-top nature of how films from that era pictured rampaging robots in the future.
