This motion graphic was created for an article on Gizmodo.com. The subject of the article was artificial intelligence. More specifically, how the scientific community can avoid the possibility of a robotic uprising should artificial intelligence ever be achieved. I felt that this subject was a wonderful opportunity to throw in a little camp, so I created this animation to offset the mostly serious nature of the article. The animation is heavily based on the poster for the 1956 movie "Forbidden Planet" and captures the over-the-top nature of how films from that era pictured rampaging robots in the future.
