This original design was paired with plain text on the existing shirt. The solid nature made wearing it outdoors in hot climates extremely uncomfortable, due to the sweat and the heat of the vinyl soaking up the sun.
The research team wanted to stick with the "REO Rhino" motif, and they wanted something more stylized, possibly with a tech leaning to communicate their competency in robotics. With that direction in mind, I created a selection of thumbnail possibilities in Procreate and pitched them to the team.
This was the final design, and the team absolutely loved it. The armored rhino was a team-favorite visual motif, and I'm so happy I was able to represent it in a way that excited everyone.
